What is it?

This is an option available to patients who would like to add an additional vial of PRP is prepared and used during your treatment.

When is it recommended?

Below are the circumstances where an additional vial may be beneficial. 

•  Rapid amounts of hair fall / shedding.
Large Treatment Area or Hair Loss occurring across the entire genetic hair loss region.
Advanced hair loss – where the patient has experienced noticeable or significant hair loss or thinning.
Patients who are wanting to stimulate / enhance / accelerate the results that they are receiving from the PRP treatments.
Patients who are wanting to space their PRP treatment timings further apart. By adding in an additional vial patients may be able to extend their treatment intervals AN ADDITIONAL 2-4 weeks on top of their regular treatment timing intervals.
Patients who did not eat or drink the right amount of food/drink leading up to the PRP treatment. A poor diet and low hydration levels will reduce the effectiveness of a standard PRP treatment, adding in an additional vial of PRP can assist.  However, making sure you eat/drink well prior to your PRP treatment is PREFERRED to adding an additional vial.

When is it NOT recommended?

We do not recommend adding an additional vial of PRP:

•  If your scalp is unhealthy
For many patients, the standard PRP treatment is more than sufficient. If you are in doubt, please approach a staff member & they will help you to determine if an additional vial may be beneficial for you.

How much longer does it take?

A standard treatment requires 60mins.  With an additional vial, please allow an additional 10mins.

Can I use an additional vial on another treatment area (eg face)?

No. An additional vial can only be used on the same treatment area that the treatment was scheduled in for.   Eg.  You can not use an additional vial to treat a NEW treatment area (eg the face if the original treatment was to treat the scalp/hair). 


1.   Applicable for use on the SAME area that is being treated originally.
2.   Can not be used to treat a NEW area – eg.  If you are treating your hair loss, and want to add in this additional vial option, you can only use the vial to treat the SAME area that you were originally booked in to treat.
3.   This option is not suitable for everyone, the nurse will have the final say on whether you are eligible or not to receive this option

*Treatments can be transferred to any another person, however the original expiry date still applies.
*This treatment is an add on to a normal PRP treatment where a client can use another PRP vial to concentrate more on a particular areas or treat the sides and back of your scalp.
*All reservations are subject to our cancellation & amendment policy.  This allows the patient to TELEPHONE during business hours at 1 x Business Day before the scheduled appointment and request to post pone, amend or reschedule the appointment for free.  Requests made within 1 x business day will be subject to a 100% cancellation, rescheduling & amended fee.
*Purchases must be redeemed within 12mths from the date of purchase
*No further discounts or rebates are available
*No refunds are provided, unless required to by Australian Consumer Law Eg 1. What has been advertised, differs from what is fulfilled. Eg 2. The patient is considered medically unsuitable for the treatments and will unlikely be medically suitable to receive the treatment inside the offer’s validity period (12 months). Where the patient is considered medically unsuitable, a letter from an Australian Registered Doctor or Surgeon is required that clearly states the reason why a patient should be considered to be medically unsuitable to receive the treatments, and for how long the patient is likely to be considered medically unsuitable for the treatment. The letter is to be sent from the Doctor’s/Surgeon’s clinic/practice email address, or posted directly to a Great Direction Clinic & the letter is to be on the Doctor’s/Surgeon’s official letterhead. Great Directions may choose to extend the validity period instead of offering a refund. Refunds will be provided within 21 days of a completed refund request being received.
*Please call/contact our office to confirm approx treatment times. Refunds will not be issued because a patient’s preferred treatment time/schedule is not readily available.
